Kunzang Sukman

Lobzang Stobdan was the only Zanskarkidz-photographer, who could attend the inauguration of the exhibition as he is visiting a school nearby. He has a sponsor, who also sent a gift with me for him, which I gave that day. Also he got the money from the selling of the calender – or better said we gave him something, what he wanted to have: an MP3-player plus some prints and I guess there is something left for a shirt or so, too. He also got a camera for the time I am in Leh so that he can take photos from his surrounding and friends and that to send them to his parents.

On the inauguration he hold a speech and could show some guests around and explain them something about the photos and Zanskar. He enjoyed that very much. The Dalai Lama gave teachings the last 4 days, which he attended, too, a friend borrowed him a bicycle – so he said to me that in the moment he thinks he is one of the most happiest boys in Ladakh.

Lobzang Stobdan war der einzige Zanskarkidz-Fotograf, der die Ausstellungseröffnung miterleben konnte, da er eine Schule in der Nähe besucht. Er hat eine Sponsorin, die mir ein Geschenk für ihn mitgab, welches ich ihm an dem Tag gab. Außerdem bekam er das Geld von dem Kalenderverkauf – oder besser gesagt wir gaben ihm etwas, was er haben wollte: einen MP3-Player sowie einige Abzüge und ich denke, es ist noch etwas übrig für ein Shirt oder so. Er bekommt auch eine Kamera für die Zeit, die ich in Leh bin so dass er Fotos von seiner Umgebung und Freunden machen kann, die er dann seinen Eltern schickt.

Bei der Eröffnung hielt er eine Rede und konnte einige Gäste herumführen und ihnen etwas über die Fotos und Zanskar erklären. Er genoss das sehr. Der Dalai Lama gab Belehrungen die letzten 4 Tage, die er besuchte und ein Freund lieh ihm ein Fahrrad – und so sagte er, dass er denkt, dass er im Moment einer der glücklichsten Jungs in Ladakh ist.
